Job description

The Senior DevOps Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of our infrastructure and applications. You will lead the DevOps team in designing, implementing, and optimizing infrastructure while maintaining cost efficiency within a defined budget. Your role includes automating processes, enhancing CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring high availability and performance for our engineering teams. 

• Design and set up scalable, high-availability infrastructure in collaboration with Technical Leaders.  
• Optimize infrastructure costs within a defined budget of less than 1% of company revenue. 
• Build up the CI/CD for all current Gearment projects.  Setup the Release/Deployment process 
• Build up the Logging and Monitoring system for our infrastructures, and applications to support Developers and Management. 
• Enhance development tools to improve engineering productivity. 
• Ensure high SLA and SLO standards for the DevOps team.

Your skills and experience

• 4-5 years in a DevOps role with experience leading or mentoring teams. 
• Strong expertise in AWS, Digital Ocean, and GCP; AWS certification is a plus. 
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS ECS, and AWS EKS. 
• Experience operating and maintaining RDBMS/NoSQL databases (Postgres, Elasticsearch, etc.). 
• Proficiency with Git, Gitflow, branches, and tagging. 
• Experience with monitoring tools (Telegraform, InfluxDB, Grafana, AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus) and logging solutions (ELK/EFK Stack, Graylog). 
• Familiarity with tools like Sentry, NewRelic APM, Datadog APM, Elasticsearch APM. 
• Strong experience in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, CircleCI.  Strong problem-solving skills, collaboration, and a results-driven approach. 
• Strategic thinking and planning.  Decision-making and problem-solving.

• Stakeholder management and influence.
