Job description

In this role, you will provide subject matter expertise while supporting PO defining the roadmap and product vision. Will collaborate with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand the problems and needs, subsequently translating them into business requirements and technical solutions. 

Job Duties:

Analysis and Solution Definition

• Working with stakeholders to understand their needs, concerns and the environment that they operate in to define detailed requirements. Gather, organize and synthesize large amounts of information from various sources.
• Effectively identify and define business needs and problems/issues to enable a feasible solution scope to be developed.
• Effectively communicating requirements to stakeholders, managing conflicts, issues and changes in order to ensure that stakeholders and project team members remain in agreement on solution scope.
• Contributes to the conversion of business needs into functional designs and conduct product training as needed.
• Identifies and manages gaps, determining the effectiveness of proposed solutions and developing Business Requirements documents and models.
• Identify the risks associated with the proposed solution as well as the risk for not implementing the solution.
• Work closely with Product Owner to understand product vision, priority and road-map, clarify and manage product backlog.
• Ensure the Team understand the product requirements & backlog and the product is delivered at high quality.
• Conducts a variety of tests such as system, integration, readiness, and acceptance tests. Ensures changes made by programmers are correct.
• Conducts tests using client data to be certain client needs will be met.
• Verifies through testing that changes made by programmers to one part of the application do not impact other parts.

Operational BAU Support

• Ensure timely and effective resolution of application incidents, service requests, and problems
• Manage the incident, problem, and change management processes related to applications.
• Monitor application performance and availability, proactively identifying and resolving potential issues. 
• Develop and maintain comprehensive application documentation, knowledge base articles, and troubleshooting guides.
• Implement and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for application support.
• Ensure adherence to ITIL best practices and relevant industry standards.

Quality Assurance and Testing

• Work with developers to ensure their solution design can satisfy user stories and acceptance criteria
• Ensure acceptance criteria and any other test conditions are met before concluding a story is complete
• Ensure that clear testing plans have been documented and executed before releasing software
• Work with the development team to ensure automated testing is baked into the solution
• Identify and document system deficiencies and recommended solutions

Stakeholder Engagement

• Collaborate with other IT teams (e.g., development, infrastructure, security) to ensure seamless integration and support of applications.
•  Communicate effectively with business stakeholders about application status, incidents, and planned maintenance.
•  Manage escalation paths and ensure timely communication of critical issues to relevant stakeholders.

Your skills and experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science equivalent related experience
• Minimum of 3 years experience as a Business Analyst
• Good English communication (write, read, speak and listen).
• Technical background (plus point) with high level knowledge of SQL databases and database querying languages
• Ability to influence multiple stakeholders without direct authority
• Being knowledgeable or experienced in Agile environment, good logical thinking, analytical thinking, critical thinking and problem solving.
• Experience in working in technology enabled change programs/projects, software development is a plus.
