Job description

Following research centers in Korea, USA, Russia, India, etc. LG CTO Vietnam Software Lab (LG CTO VSL) officially operated in Vietnam from July 2022 with the mission of developing next generations of technology and incubating new LG business in the future.
You will have the opportunity to work, share and learn with talented engineers at CTO centers in countries around the world and launch strategic-oriented technology products of LG Corporation.
Recently, LG Electronics developed LG Upgradable Platform Appliance (LUPA) and its platform.
Moreover, to expand webOS ecosystem and prepare for the future, we’re developing webOS integrated platform SDK for webOS based product/platform such as TV, signage, OSE and Apollo.
Major components of webOS integrated platform SDK are webOS Studio (IDE), CLI (Command line interface tool) and Emulator. We are looking for developers in Vietnam to build VSL’s SDK scrum and develop webOS SDK.

As engineers, you will:

- Develop webOS Studio(IDE) for webOS app/service development 
  • New feature development/maintenance on webOS Studio based on Visual Studio Code Extension such as package manager, resource monitor viewer and advanced editor feature
  • Apply webOS studio into other product/platform(TV, Apollo) 
- Develop webOS Emulator for webOS Apollo/OSE 
  • Develop webOS Emulator(x86-64) which is run on PC’s virtual box for webOS new platform (Apollo)
  • Maintenance exist webOS Emulator for webOS OSE
- Develop webOS CLI(Command Line Interface) for webOS application/ platform 
  • Apply webOS CLI(based on Node.js) into webOS new platform(Apollo)
  • Maintenance exist webOS CLI for webOS OSE/TV

Your skills and experience

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience
- 2+ years of working experience with JavaScript / Type script. It would be plus point if having knowledge with C/C++/ Python

- Good working experience in VSCode extension development and embedded application/service development projects.
- Good working experience in unit test and test automation
- Proven knowledge and working experience in all phases of software development cycle for embedded SDK tool development
- Basic communication skill in English, mostly for the technical communication with the collaborating scrum teams
