IT technical support officer is mainly responsible for the smooth running of computer systems and ensuring users get maximum benefits. Here is a selection of duties to include:
- Installing and configuring computer hardware, operating systems, applications, network, printers, scanners.
- Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks.
- Setting up user accounts, permissions and deal with password issues.
- Troubleshooting system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults.
- Providing support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports.
- Following diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system.
Yêu cầu công việc
- Knowledge in Windows OS, Mac OS.
- Experience in installing and troubleshooting operating systems, computer network, software and hardware.
- The ability to think logically.
- A good memory of how software and operating systems work.
- Excellent listening and questioning skills, combined with the ability to interact confidently with clients to establish what the problem is and explain the solution.
- Good at English, especially verbal communication.
