Job Purpose:

• The Senior Software QA Automation Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products through the development and execution of automated test scripts
• This role involves working closely with development and QA teams to create a seamless and efficient testing proces
• The successful candidate will bring a high level of expertise in automation testing to drive improvements in our QA practices and mentor junior team members.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium and Java. Create and execute automated regression tests, functional tests, and performance tests.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to identify and prioritize test cases for automation.
• Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure continuous testing and delivery.
• Analyze test results, identify issues, and work with development teams to resolve defects.
• Mentor and guide junior QA engineers in automation best practices and strategies.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure high-quality code standards.
• Continuously improve and update testing frameworks and tools to enhance testing efficiency.
• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies in QA automation.
• Assign tasks for junior team members

Skills

• Proficiency in Selenium and Java Core.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills. 
• Ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
• Knowledge of additional testing frameworks and tools is an advantage.
• Leadership experience, including leading or managing a team of testers is a plus.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a QA Automation Engineer, with at least 4 years in automation testing.
• Extensive experience with Selenium, Java Core and API testing.
• Demonstrated experience with CI/CD processes and tools.
• Solid understanding of QA methodologies, testing types, and testing tools.
• Certification in QA or related fields is a plus.
• Good time-management skill, able to multi-task and pay attention to details as well as a fast learner
