The PMO Manager is responsible for managing the HUB delivery portfolio; manage the demand and supply to meet business needs; and commercial forecasts for business demand
More specifically your main duties will include:

  • Drive high level cross-functional planning, lead discovery and prioritisation by closely collaborating with product managers and solution delivery managers to develop program plans, including technical delivery road maps, dependency identifications and resourcing plan.
  • Continuously improve product delivery planning and commitment. Establish and drive adoption of program frameworks, tools and best practices. Share your program management knowledge with engineering teams and individuals.
  • Lead post program analysis review to guide future improvements to the process and customer satisfaction.
  • Ongoing management of Resource Portfolio and take part in prioritisation of features to ensure sustainable deliver of strategic initiatives.
  • Define and lead the Resource Management process to deliver the outcome of a balanced portfolio with healthy Contractor to Permanent ratios.
  • Work with in-country PMO and Business Heads to understand portfolio pipelines and potential resource demand and contention.
  • Respond to requests for resources from Scrum Masters, Product Owners and business stakeholders to allocate permanent resources to scrum teams and project teams.
  • Drive timely and high quality reporting, with regard to both resource forecasting and resource allocation.
  • Drive forecast and actuals for forecasting resource budgets across teams and delivery areas.
  • Create and drive weekly delivery reports and communicate effectively the status and critical issues. Escalate urgent issues appropriately and driving them to closure in a timely manner.
  • Provide advice and recommendations to teams on optimal resource levels to deliver projects across multiple phases.

To be successful you will have:

  • Significant experience working as a PMO Manager
  • Strong technical acumen. Actively participate in technical discussions, proactively identify risks, working closely with engineers and product owners on forming mitigation plans
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, a risk mitigation mindset and exhibit appropriate levels of urgency.
  • Solid understanding of waterfall and agile, and how they relate to managing programs effectively
  • Lead and organize efficient program and resource meetings with the ability to synthesize data into easy to understand, digestible information
  • Sound Financial control and reporting skills
  • Knowledge and experience in allocating or scheduling resources in a Solution Delivery Lifecycle (SDLC) or Project Management Lifecycle (PMLC)
  • program obstacles, and willingness to go above and beyond to chase down loose ends that lead to successful product delivery.
  • Experience advising delivery leads on recommended workforce mix (contract v permanent)
  • Experience augmenting capacity from engagement to separation
