Job Description

We are looking for a Web Development Team Lead to join our growing web team. As a member of our team in Vietnam, you will be involved in every stage of the web development process: planning, coding, testing and deploying just to name a few. You will perform hands-on tasks for the company’s web activities aligned with marketing initiatives, website projects and improvements. An ideal candidate will be someone who is able to marry the skills of a product manager and lead developer, someone who will be accountable for the site’s success. This role is integral to OPSWAT branding and image.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Develop, Maintain and own both Staging and Production versions of our corporate website (www.opswat.com, portal.opswat.com)
  • Provide technical leadership to web development staff, monitor quality of work, develop and maintain effective collaboration and working relationships with team members and other stakeholders in OPSWAT
  • Monitor website performance, diagnosing and fixing website related issues
  • Collaborate with designers to turn graphical mockups and wireframes into elegantly coded web pages and multilingual micro sites
  • Collaborate with product management to support process improvements, which guide the development and sustainability of corporate websites
  • Provide production support for marketing efforts such as SEO optimization, web analytics and tracking
  • Coordinate cross-functional web development activities among product development, marketing, product management, IT, and other teams
  • Providing creative vision, planning, and implementation of other web-based applications and projects

Your Skills and Experience

What We Need From You:

  • Experience leading web projects, owning the full software development life cycle and establishing rigorous technical standards and CI/CD systems
  • Solid experience using Craft CMS or similar CMS like Drupal
  • Proficient with HTML, CSS(SCSS), jQuery/JavaScript, MySQL and PHP
  • Proficient with build tools such as Gulp/Grunt
  • Strong understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility, responsiveness, general web functions and standards
  • A passion for creating a beautiful user experience with pixel-perfect attention to detail
  • Good English language oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule aligned with a global team
  • Fast learner, proactive, excellent communicator and get-things-done mindset

It Would Be Nice If You Had experience in:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Front-end (web GUI) experience
  • Understanding of W3C standards and building frontends with responsive design, usability and optimization techniques
  • Experience with Salesforce Application Development is a huge plus (Apex, VisualForce)
  • Experience with Craft or other PHP based CMS
  • Experience working with template engines/languages like Twig, Liquid etc.
  • Experience with modular driven development
