Job Description

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join our Expert Services department as a hands-on Developer Team Lead, leading a team of highly skilled developers and delivering complex system development projects across a variety of products and technologies.

As an experienced Developer Team Lead, whilst being highly technical and hands-on capable, you will lead development projects across predominantly Microsoft .NET and SQL Server based technologies. Managing the successful delivery of projects will require you to plan, coordinate and lead activities across the full delivery lifecycle. This will include working closely with project managers, coordinating business analysts, architects and developers, as well as liaising with key project stakeholders as required.

Working closely with other team leaders you will ensure the structured and coordinated planning of your team’s development. Your technical background and experience will ensure you can offer the support and guidance required being able to support and assist developers at code level. This role offers challenges across a wide variety of projects and responsibilities, including the opportunity to influence the future direction of the department and systems used across the business.

  • Track progress and quality of team member's work, support when needed, ensure quality standards and practices are followed
  • Identify, assess, track and resolve risks, issues and conflicts arisen in the project with internal resources
  • Work with assigned QA Manager/QA Lead to be informed of project test tracking and important items for additional follow-up
  • Take decisions to balance scope, cost, quality and time in project to deliver most satisfactory output to client
  • Write project reports for progress tracking and control, create guidelines or technical documents for client (if required)

Your Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years’ experience as a senior .NET Developer
  • 1+ year' experience in a technical leadership position Excellent written and verbal English communication skills Excellent problem solving skills
  • Experience of people management and the ability to lead and influence others
  • Able to influence and drive projects to meet key milestones and overcome challenges
  • Experience in formal personal development planning and individual, team and process performance management
  • Proven experience in leading and managing the delivery of system/software development projects in a structured environment
  • Experience in a variety of software development approaches and methodologies including Agile and Waterfall
  • Experience in both architecture and implementation-level software design
  • Experience in requirements capture, analysis techniquesand processimprovement approaches
  • Strong facilitation and coachingskills
  • Excellent personal organization and ability to prioritizeand carryout multipletasks
  • A desire to remain technically capableand anexpert in current technologies
  • Knowing or hadexperiences of the following wouldbe greatadvantages:
    • Familiar with Episerver CMS/Commerce or similar CMS/Commerce
    • Onside abroad, especially in Europe, USA
