RESPONSIBILITIES
• Effectively manage all internal IT staff and external IT contractors to ensure that the IT service delivered to EIS is efficient and meets the expectations of the end users.
• Preparation of the annual IT Budget, with careful planning seeking input where required from other stakeholders. A Strategic focus on the short term (12 months) and medium term (2-5 years) is also required when planning for IT requirements.
• Monitoring of the IT budget against actual expenditure to ensure that EIS operates within its budget at all times.
• Have a constant focus on the Ed-Tech requirements of EIS and where possible assist in the delivery of ED- Tech solutions to maximise the use of IT in the classroom.
• Be responsible for all IT network, system and database, not limited to administrator rights, server/Google drive, website, emails, PABX telephone system, all other communication systems, cameras, back-up system, network diagrams for all connections, etc.
• Keep all information and database on all system, license keys, administrator rights, etc. in strict confidentiality
• Set-up and manage the Information System (IS) properly: application development and maintenance, security administration, network administration, back-up, etc.
• Ensure that all software used at EIS has the appropriate licence.
• Effectively manage the security and safety of internal data
• Set access rights for all users/accounts on server/Google drive and proceed back-up system properly from time to time
• Providing support to the Marketing Department where required, for website related tasks.
• Ensure that our internal mail system is functioning correctly, and that group/distribution lists are updated and correct.
• Document and update network diagrams for all connections (network infrastructure (hardware, cable, etc.), IP addresses, telephone, camera, etc.)
• Frequently update IT Register of hardware (switches/hub, modem, printers, desktops, laptops, netbooks, etc.) on drive.
• Be responsible for keeping all hardware in stock, especially laptops and netbooks. Any laptop or netbook given out must be signed and documented properly.
• In charge of Server room and all equipment inside the room.
• Review and maintain all documentation related to IT, such as network, diagrams, license, hardware/software list, hand-over, IT Policy, etc.
• Establish and manage the deployment of IT security regulations and policy on the use of computers, software and local network resources
• Troubleshoot and resolve end-user hardware, operating system and software-related problems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic network and server access problem for end users.
• Coordinate with IT Department for supporting hardware/software problems providing a solution for students & staff. Eg. Report printing, Assembly preparation, etc.
• Manage device setup and deployment for new employees using standard hardware, images and software.
• Upgrade and maintenance of computers, printers, network devices, telephone system.
• Maintain good relationships with all of our suppliers and adhere to our purchasing policy at all times.
• Ensure that all end users have appropriate training to access our ICT devices and systems and develop an appropriate training program to meet this need.
• Work closely with the designated Ed-Tech staff member to ensure that ICT resources are used effectively in the classroom and that users have appropriate training to maximise learning.
• Handle other ICT tasks assigned

Your skills and experience

• Bachelor/College Degree in IT or related field;
• Good English language proficiency.
• At least 3-year experience in IT at international schools, international universities or other educational institutions.
