Job description
JOB SUMMARY:
- Work with cross-functional teams and perform software tests to ensure the quality of the systems/products under test throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Research and analyze the software requirements and relevant specifications to understand the scope of projects and what should be tested to avert risk and prevent software issues.
- Prepare/develop test cases/test script both manual and automation to fit the test purpose.
- Execute the defined/assigned tests, documenting the testing phases, troubleshooting issues, reporting defects/bugs/errors to appropriate responsible engineer(s) and preparing for release test reports.
- Conduct post-release/post implementation testing and completing the defined retrospective tasks.
- Depend on your level/experience/domain knowledge, you may control projects and project’s features as a person in charge or coordinator, manage software release testing activities as a release quality assurance person.
- Develop new testing tools/Upgrade current testing tools to fit the test purpose.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Automation Tester (2 positions):
- Receive assignments from supervisor/leader and complete on time with good quality
- Run testing tools and create testing report
- Develop automation test tools to speed up testing
- Design OOP structure and develop test tools based on this structure
- Update defects/bugs in bug tracking system
- Think of new ideas and solutions for testing software
2. Manual and Automation Tester (2 positions):
- Apply technical knowledge in software development methodologies, process, and life cycle to ensure the quality of the controlled projects
- Follow defined test criteria to assure proper operation of the software
- Identify non-compliant software features and document via established tools
- Work with team members and developers to solve software non-conformances
Your skills and experience
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
- Language: Strong communication skills in English (Good English languages skills to understand specialized documents and software requirements, participate in periodical meeting and describe technical problems to developers)
SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & PREFERENCES:
1. Automation Tester (2 positions):
- From 2 years experiences and above in API software testing and product software automation testing on Window
- Experience of manual and automation testing (Ex: Embedded Hardware, Software, Web Automation, …)
- Expert in C#, C++
- Good knowledge about testing process and OOP
- Design testing tools and testing framework
- Ability to research new technology and learn new programming languages
2. Manual and Automation Tester (2 positions):
- Experience with product software test and software engineering with Windows and/or Linux; digital hardware design and control; IBM Jazz or another 3rd party defect database
- Knowledge of how to use hardware schematics to trouble basic/intermediate issues with software test platforms and test equipment
- Basic understanding of oscilloscopes and USB analyzer, digital voltmeters and relevant test equipment.
- Experienced in automated test techniques for embedded computer software applications; Python or equivalent scripting languages
- OOA/OOD/OOP Object Oriented Analysis, Design and Programming skills
- Good judgment, communication, consultancy and presentation skills; Ability to work in a team and as an individual; work under pressure and tight deadlines
