Software Developer (Python, PHP, JS)

Job description

We are seeking software developers to join our team tasked with maintaining and developing not only our vertical search applications but also our crawling platform which helps collect and aggregate data from online sources.

Job Responsibilities include, but not limited to the following

• Reviewing current systems
• Maintaining the systems once they are up and running
• Presenting ideas for system improvements, including cost proposals
• Working closely with data engineers, system analysts, designers and staff
• Producing detailed specifications and writing the program codes
• Testing the product in controlled, real situations before going live
• Preparation of training manuals for users

Your skills and experience

• Can work independently on a given problem -- exploration of solutions and their trade-offs.
• Reliable team member -- good code style, documentation; familiar with team tools.
• Responsible, honest, open, respectful and willing to learn e.g. new programming languages & techniques.
• Good command of English, able to communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to use these development languages & tools including PHP, Python, SQL, Javascript, .Net (C#), Bash Shell, Hadoop, SOLR, Elasticsearch is a plus.
