Job description
We are looking for an Automation Tester to join our QC team. Your responsibilities include creating test plan, designing & implementing test scripts, executing them automatically to ensure product quality.
You will also be involved into some early testing activities such as: reviewing software requirements, reviewing software high-level and detail-level technical, etc. as well as tracking some quality metrics (e.g., defect densities and open defect counts).
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Review requirements, specifications, user documentation, help files, and other project documentation to assure the quality of the products and tests to be developed, i.e., perform manual static testing.
- Select and develop appropriate test automation tools, applying the latest techniques in test automation, e.g., data-driven testing.
- Use risk-driven techniques to develop, maintain, and execute automated test suites for various Software Cafeteria products, i.e., perform automated dynamic testing.
- Work with the Development team to capture and reuse automated Unit Test Cases, Test Stubs and Drivers, and other Development test objects.
- Participate in the Change Control Board to identify the quality implications of known bugs and the impact of proposed changes to product definition on the testing process.
- Integrate automation with the company’s infrastructure to create and maintain an automated nightly build verification (“smoke”) test.
- Ensure proper version control and configuration management of all test objects developed and test environments used.
- Research and document bug reports following agreed-upon processes immediately upon discovery of a quality problem.
- Update test execution status following agreed-upon processes as part of regularly scheduled test status updates.
- Trace test cases and results back to specific quality risks.
- Assist the Test Manager in the creation of test project status reports and metrics (e.g., Test Dashboard).
- Implement performance testing to benchmark the system capacity before releasing or production launching.
Your skills and experience
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in automation test design method: keyword driven, data-driven, or hybrid.
- Expertise in creation of automation test script for all levels of functional testing: System Test, Integration Test.
- Good at performing non-functional tests: Performance Testing, GUI testing (Security testing is a plus).
- Good at communication skills and exposure to international work environment
- Be familiar with Agile process and Scrum/Kanban model
- Understanding programming languages to go into a deeper level when using automation framework.
- Possess good knowledge on Automated testing tools
- Clear understanding of business requirements
- Well versed with agile, DevOps and continuous delivery
- Good problem-solving skills, be able to assess and mitigate the risk
- Good reporting skills, excellent at time management
DESIRED QUALIFICATION
- Having experience of working with Linux system, able to understand or write the shell script.
- Having knowledge about web/web service automation test, continuous integration (Jenkins to be specific), continuous delivery
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- High learning ability skills, be able to motivate other, understand the human factors
- Passion for automation career path
- Certification in Testing (e.x: ISTQB…) is desirable
