Job description

We continue to innovate our payment solutions and expand our product offering alongside our industry leading strategic partners including Qantas Loyalty and Prospa. Live group is seeking an experienced Senior Product Owner to join our growing and fast-paced multi-national team.

 Reporting directly to the Senior Product Manager, the Senior Product Owner will be the customer advocate, providing a link between the user and business goals. You must possess excellent communication skills and be able to sell your product vision to the business. You are comfortable working with cross functional teams and are motivated to problem solve, ideate, conceptualise, and deliver products that excite our customers.

 You are detailed and focused on what is important to the user however you can also make fast decisions that align with the company’s overall product strategy. 

 Core responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the product vision and product roadmap. Keeping abreast of the product landscape, researching, and recommending new features for improvements.
  • Research, compile and analyse user product feedback
  • Research and analyse the market, competitors, and latest trends
  • Journey mapping and utilising tools to prioritise feature development
  • Write and clearly define requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Create product roadmaps and translate them into a product backlog
  • Maintaining your product backlog and provide progress reports to the Product Director
  • Acting as a point of contact between teams and stakeholders, as well as keeping customers and stakeholders updated on the status of the product
  • Collaborate with the Design team (UI/UX) to ensure products delight end users
  • Collaborate with the technology team, including Business Analysts and Developers, to ensure product requirements are met
  • Conduct user testing
  • Product planning and delivery, documentation, and internal user training.

Your skills and experience

Must have requirements

  • Fluent in English
  • 5+ years of Product Management experience in either a Product Owner or Product Manager role.
  • Experience in B2B SaaS, fintech or consumer payments.
  • A solid understanding of Agile software development methodologies.
  • Experience with design thinking methodologies
  • You are passionately devoted to your users. You have a track record of listening deeply to your customers, understanding their problems, and applying logical and elegant solutions to those problems
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in defining and articulating customer requirements and turning these into user stories

Preferred Skills

  • An understanding of the Australian digital payments landscape or digital products in Australia will be highly regarded
  • Focused on delivering outcomes and moving metrics—not just shipping features.
  • Excellent facilitator and are comfortable leading teams through ideation, research, and the natural ambiguity that occurs when defining new features
  • Great analytical skills
  • Ability to make fast decisions
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, organization and time management skills
  • Self-motivator with exemplary planning and execution skills
  • Excellent intercultural skills with the ability to collaborate with diverse groups and stakeholders
  • Excellent team player with the ability to influence and negotiate
  • High attention to detail
