Job description

Job Description: 

  • Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities.
  • Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs.
  • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
  • Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts.
  • Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions.
  • Perform functional testing, and regression testing and keep track of all the new developments.
  • Liaise with internal teams (e.g., developers and product managers) to identify system requirements.
  • Support user acceptance testing for new features, improving the test coverage by including the most relevant end-to-end user scenarios in test plans and automation.
  • Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies.
  • Contribute ideas to fulfill the product & services.

Your skills and experience

  • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and working experience.
  • 5+ years of direct QA experience: designing, implementing, executing tests, and tracking/reporting results.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to quantify and communicate the quality of a product to the Project Manager.
  • Good knowledge of QA methodologies.
  • Self-motivated, well-organized, and with strict attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with project manager and internal cross-functional teams.
  • Experience testing iOS, Android, and browser-based applications.
  • Ability to understand and manage customer expectations and software implementation methodology.
  • Ability to document technical/ business requirements and troubleshoot errors.
  • Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects at the same time.
  • Creative in manual testing with fast bug detection through exploratory testing.
  • Understanding of Agile methodology and experience working in an Agile environment, Jira, Zephyr, and SCRUM.
  • Working knowledge of test management software and SQL
  • Able to work independently with a “Can-Do” spirit and to manage time effectively.

“Plus” skills:

  • Able to Create a detailed business analysis, outlining problems, opportunities, and solutions for a business.
  • Basic SQL skills and good experience in automated testing tools.
  • Basic programming skills in Java for developing test scripts.
  • Experience in revision control systems like GitHub, and SVN.
  • Experience in automation test: Selenium, Appium, Jenkin configuration…
  • Experience in REST/SOAP API using tools like Postman/SOAPUI.
  • Experience in using BDD (Behavior-driven development) Framework.
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
