Job description

We are currently seeking a performance engineer who is also backend developer in the Engineering domain. We value our professionals, providing comprehensive benefits, exciting challenges, and the opportunity for growth.

  • Develop performant frameworks including test automation
  • Build internal tools and interfaces to improve the productivity of the team and improve the accessibility of our products
  • Build tooling for Performance, Development and Operations
  • Define testing strategy, metrics and execute performance enhancement requirements.

Your skills and experience

  • 5+ years experience working as either Software Engineer or Data Engineer: query tuning, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and debugging Spark and/or other big data solutions 
  • Hands-on and technical experience with Apache Spark (from Senior Software Engineer to Software Architect level) 
  • Experience with deploying, operating, and debugging big data platforms and tools such as Spark, Hive, Presto, Alluxio and Airflow
  • Proven track-record of building and operating large-scale, high-throughput, low-latency production systems.
  • Proficiency in any one of the high-level languages – Java, Scala, Python along with a fair understanding of data structure, algorithms and their runtime complexities.
  • Solid understanding of both object-oriented and functional programming concepts
  • Experience with Development Tools for CI/CD, Unit and Integration testing, Automation and Orchestration, REST API, BI tools and SQL Interfaces
