Job Description

We are looking for a PHP Developer (CodeIgniter/WordPress) responsible for managing both back-end and front-end services and the interchange of data between the server and the users. Your primary focus will be the development of all server-side logic, definition and maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. This position requires a combination of programming skills (namely PHP, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript) and aesthetics (understanding element arrangements on the screen, the colour and font choices, and so on). Therefore, a basic understanding of front-end technologies such as WordPress is necessary as well.

Your Skills and Experience

  • Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers
  • Build efficient, testable, and reusable PHP modules
  • Designing and developing responsive design websites, user interfaces for websites and/or web applications
  • Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges
  • Write “clean”, well-designed code
  • Troubleshoot, test and maintain the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality
  • Good debugging skills
  • Integration of data storage solutions
  • Ability and willingness to dive into code written by others to figure things out

  • Experience in common third-party APIs (Google, Facebook, Ebay etc)
  • Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes
  • Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases and their declarative query languages
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Github
