Job description
The Managed Services Support Engineer is part of a team chartered to support Episerver’s Managed Services and Managed Cloud offerings providing high service availability to our customers
The position requires the right blend of technical depth, breadth, experience, and process awareness to handle the day-to-day responsibilities of these offerings. A positive attitude and the ability to deal with ambiguity in a fast paced environment are essential in this role. Good organizational skills and self-discipline are also required.
Responsibilities
- Primary point of contact for Managed Services site(s) support
- Monitor, triage, document, fix, and escalate all Managed Services support incidents
- Build strong and effective working relationships with Service Management team and Engineering
- Work to develop proficient understanding of all critical Episerver applications and services
- Proven ability to lead and facilitate conference calls to address site incidents
- Effectively prioritize site incidents based on service and customer impact
- Ticket queue management
- Customer engaging relationship development and problem solving
- Process focused; provides input to help improve/build processes
- Flexibility to work any shift and to be on call outside of standard business hours.
- Work scheduled shift during weekends
Your skills and experience
- Experience with networking infrastructure components, for example, load balancers and firewalls.
- Working knowledge of change and problem management methodologies
- Strong written and verbal communications skills (English); ability to communicate with audiences of all levels
- Fast learner with good troubleshooting and analytical skills, and the ability to quickly solve complicated systems and application issues
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision and stay focused on delivering results
- Must possess a sense of urgency and passion for customer service
- A good team player
Skills and Experience:
Experience with the following skills and environments is a plus:
- NOC or Operations environment
- Supporting web based applications
- Systems Administration experience with Windows Server, SQL Server, or IIS
- Cloud experience such as Azure and/or Amazon AWS
- Managed Hosting
- Application and Data Security
- Virtualization Software and Services
