The Job

Role:

As a Technical Architect, you will be responsible for the design, definition, direction and implementation of key enterprise technology products in the industry. You will use your extensive experience in development and business to create cost-effective and highly functional solutions based upon the best technologies; whether they are in-house development projects (primarily in either in Java or C# .NET) or the selection and integration of commercial, off-the-shelf software solutions. You will act as our designated "spokesperson" to drive decision making alongside technical staff and business units. You will be a vital lead to key, enterprise-level technology projects. 

Responsibilities:

  • Taking accountability in technical integrity of architecture and design
  • Working out which IT products to use based on cost analysis and research
  • Presenting plans/making bid proposals to clients when necessary
  • Explaining to designers and developers what’s required and overseeing the progress
  • Producing documents that monitor progress, ensure the quality of the project and meet security standards
  • Advising the client on managing future IT needs
  • Developing and carrying out tests to make sure everything works properly
  • Participating in reviewing technical codes, components, etc. with the team and advising on technical career path to members
  • Keeping project managers and clients reported of progress
  • Be involved in an interview process when necessary

Your Skills and Experience

Requirements:

To be successful candidate for this role, you have: 

  • Bachelor degree is required; Masters' degree or higher is desired
  • 7 or more years' experience in full lifecycle enterprise software development
  • Experience working at an architect-level required; desired experience in cross-technology projects (such as J2EE and .NET experience).
  • Experience working in formal methodologies such as Agile, RUP, XP and applying in Applications frameworks, Design patterns and Coding best practices
  • Ability to be a strong technology lead balancing the needs of the technical teams while working with business / functional teams is required
  • Very good communication with clients/operational managers – listening and providing answers (both English and Vietnamese languages)
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Ability to build good relationships with clients/operational managers and colleagues
  • Up-to-date knowledge of technical applications
  • Good knowledge of quality standards, legislation and best practice
  • Ability to be adapt, prioritize, work under pressure and meet deadlines
