Job description
We're looking for a Senior iOS Engineer to independently develop an iOS version of our successful Android tomato detection application.
You'll be responsible for creating a high-performance iOS app that provides real-time tomato detection using the device camera. The existing Android app, written in Kotlin, will serve as your reference for core functionality and business logic implementation.
As the sole iOS developer on this project, you'll have full ownership of the development process, from architecture decisions to App Store deployment.
You'll be transforming our proven Android solution into a native iOS experience while maintaining the same level of performance and accuracy in real-time detection.
The AI detection model itself is developed and maintained by our AI engineering team - your focus will be on integrating this model and creating an exceptional iOS user experience.
Your skills and experience
Must-have:
- 5+ years of professional iOS development experience with a strong portfolio of published apps
- Deep expertise in Swift and iOS frameworks (UIKit, Core ML, Vision)
- Proven experience with real-time video processing and computer vision on iOS
- Understanding of Kotlin to effectively read and translate existing Android codebase
- Track record of independently architecting and delivering complex iOS applications
- Strong debugging and performance optimization skills
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with agricultural or similar computer vision applications
- Knowledge of Android development patterns and platform differences
- Experience with cross-platform development projects
- Experience with ML model integration and optimization for mobile devices.
