Job Description

We are looking for someone who wants to make an impact on their peers, the product, and our customers.  As a WordPress Developer, you will be responsible for both back-end and front-end development, including creating WordPress themes and custom plugins. We are expecting you to have a strong understanding of the latest industry trends and content management systems. The ideal candidate will have experience working with WooCommerce.

WordPress Developer duties and responsibilities

  • Designing and implementing new features and functionality
  • Build new WordPress pages from provided designs in a timely manner
  • Build WordPress plugins as needed by customers
  • Develop custom WordPress themes and functionalities with PHP
  • Maintain, update and troubleshoot WordPress websites
  • Work independently to create/verify project scopes and provide web development timelines.
  • Carry out assignments with the ability to successfully work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Your Skills and Experience

  • At least 4 years of experience working with WordPress
  • At least 4 years of experience with Javascript, HTML5 and CSS3
  • At least 2 years of experience with WooCommerce
  • Advance understanding of native Javascript es5 & es6+;
  • Proficient in Frontend VueJS, and backend PHP.
  • Expert knowledge with HTML5, CSS3, SASS/SCSS;
  • Solid knowledge of modern wordpress web development & framework based on VueJS.
  • Expert with developing responsive layouts leveraging CSS and media queries;
  • Design and implement robust client-side solutions with RESTful API;
  • Strong competency in responsive, mobile-first layouts leveraging CSS and media queries;

Plus

  • Experience with Unit Test, Integration Test, End-to-End Test framework like as Jest/Enzyme, Cypress/Selenium.
  • Experience with React stack (ReactJS, Redux, State Management, Functional Programming).
  • Experience with software best practices, like Agile and Test Driven Development.
  • Experience with high availability, high-scale, and performance systems.
  • Deep understanding of web performance.
  • Familiarity with Linux & MacOS development environment.
