Job description
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Analytics & Measurement
- Implement analytics instrumentation using GA4, GTM, and Measurement Protocol across enterprise-scale applications.
- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of enterprise measurement frameworks — tagging schemas, naming conventions, event taxonomies, and custom dimension models.
- Maintain GA4/GTM governance: multi-environment control (Dev/QA/Prod), versioning, PII protection, documentation, and access consistency.
- Perform analytics QA and data validation using DebugView, Tag Assistant, tracking audits, and automated checks.
- Ensure clean, reliable event data for downstream reporting (GA4, BigQuery, Power BI, Looker Studio).
WordPress Development & Styling
- Build, customize, and maintain WordPress themes and plugins for Simpson Strong-Tie’s marketing and content sites.
- Apply the company design system consistently across WordPress templates — translating Figma designs into pixel-accurate, responsive, accessible pages.
- Build custom Elementor templates, widgets, and reusable patterns aligned with the design system’s tokens and components.
- Ensure WordPress sites meet performance, SEO, and accessibility standards.
Front-end Development
- Build UI components and maintain application features using React/Next.js.
- Improve performance through code splitting, lazy loading, and bundle optimizations.
- Collaborate with product, UX, and analytics teams to align tracking and UI with user journeys, KPIs, and measurement strategies.
AI-Augmented Development
- Leverage AI coding assistants (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, or similar) to accelerate development while maintaining code quality.
- Use AI tools effectively for code review, refactoring, debugging, and documentation across both WordPress and front-end codebases.
- Critically evaluate AI output — knowing when to trust, verify, or override.
- Stay current on emerging AI capabilities and explore how they can improve developer productivity and product experience.
Collaboration & Quality
- Participate in code reviews, maintain coding standards, and share analytics and front-end best practices with the team.
Perform other tasks per supervisor’s instructions.
