Job description

Silentium is a software consulting company focusing on building products for our partners, mainly in Europe. At the moment, we are partnering with doctor associations in Germany to build next-gen software to serve the German market.

To fuel the growth, we are looking for an energetic leadership to share the journey of learning and growing.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the day-to-day activities of the team
  • Practice and optimize different Scrum/Agile methodologies to optimize quality and productivity
  • Motivating the team to achieve project goals.
  • Work closely with Product Designers and Product Managers to develop and implement a timeline to achieve targets.
  • Hands-on coding experience to be the communication gate to Designer and Product Manager
  • Be the coach, the mentor to improve team member's confidence, product knowledge, and communication skills.
  • Build and empower your team
  • Conducting quarterly performance reviews

  • Manage the balance between people management and technical management, the work requires your understanding on database designs, system architecture

Your skills and experience

Our technical stack

We use Next.js for the front end. On the backend, we are on the move of incorporating GraphQL and Prisma to enable Next.js even further. A big part of the backend is written in Golang and Java at the moment.

The application is split into multiple micro-services, deploy onto a Docker Swarm infrastructure and we are using MongoDB.

Skill and experience

  • Have good technical skills, we do expect any team members to be very strong in Javascript and its ecosystem. We work also with Golang, and Typescript, which is a big plus if you have experience with those languages. You should be able to review database and system design to manage output expectation
  • Have strong, soft skills, open-mindedness, a can-but-not-blindly-do attitude. You have a "can-do" attitude, which is already very cool, but you also must be able to pause and ask, "should we do it?"
  • Have worked in a Product Development environment, where you'll have to make a lot of decisions
  • Have a strong experience in the Agile/Scrum team
  • Understand the value of utilizing tests to manage delivery product quality
  • And be a TEAM PLAYER, because we can move nowhere without a team
  • We have few foreigners in the team, we expect you are comfortable with communicating in English
  • A plus if you have experienced with applying OKR into your workflow

Requirement

  • Comfortable working with both frontend and backend
  • Experienced working with Javascript and Typescript
  • Experienced in working in multiple language backend environments (we use Golang, Java, and Nodejs). We expect you to be familiar with two of those
  • Strong knowledge of designing software
  • Comfortable processing 1-1 with each and every team member. 1 on 1 is the common practice to build better bonding with team members, through that, we collect valuable insight and feedback to improve individual and teams
  • 3+ years in managing a team of 4+ people
  • On the edge of new technologies, we need you to inspire people with your knowledge

Interview process

  • You'll be given a straightforward screening test at application (may take around 3 hours). Please give us a submission timeline once you fully understand the requirement
  • After the submission, we'll give you the feedback within a working day
  • The next step is a face-to-face interview with the CTO where we'll talk about technical skills and experience. The interview will be around 2 hours
  • After that, there'll be peer to peer interview where you'll have a chance to know more about your teammates (Product Manager, Designer, and other developers)
  • The ultimate result will be given at this point
