Job description

Junior, Mid to Senior Level role.

Our company is seeking a full time Junior/Mid/Senior Database Developer and Administrator in SQL Server. The role will
see you working closely with our DBA team and our implementations team to assist in issue diagnosis and resolution,
involve in all aspects of Database Administrations, development, Production support, developer support, and implementing
procedures for the conversion of legacy databases into SQL Server. You are expected to possess excellent software
development life cycle knowledge and excellent communication skills in both verbal and written English to liaise with
stakeholders.

Your skills and experience

The ideal candidate will possess the following key requirements:
 

  • Participate in solution design and development of database solutions.
  • Extract and mine data using SQL.
  • Optimise and streamline Stored Procedures and Views.
  • Working as part of a larger DB team to provide ongoing Production support to our customers and internal staff.

This involves with investigate Production issues, find root cause, apply the appropriate fixes or change requests
and documentation.

Required technical attributes:
 

  • Experience in SQL Server Database Development
  • Knowledge and experience SQL Server and Visual Studio
  • Experience administering SQL Servers instances
  • Experience in PowerShell, agent jobs, performance tuning, backup/recovery
  • Enthusiastic, "can do" attitude!
  • Always striving to develop both personally and professionally

Additionally, preference may be given to candidates who possess the following:
 

  • Solid knowledge of application development experience in .NET framework.
  • Working knowledge of or experience in ERP type system.
  • Experience in Agile Development methodologies

1 WORKING HOURS

  • Working hours is flexible and the standard guideline is between 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with 1 hour break for lunch.
  • Staff can start early and finish early to keep in sync with Australia working hours
  • Staff must advise (ASAP) respective team lead and/or office manager if coming to work late
  • If staff need to take some time off during working week for personal matters then staff should notify and seek authorisation from department manager. Staff are allowed to work extra hours during the week to make up for those time once approved.
  • Working from home is possible and will be determined case by case basis by department manager.
  • Some staff are required to work extra hours during weekend for specific purpose such as Conversion or Installation then Leave in Lieu can be applied. Leave in Lieu is not accumulative and should be used first before Annual Leave.

 2 HOLIDAYS

  • 12 days Annual Leave per annum. Annually leave is accumulated up to 2 years. Company will pay if it is less than 5 days then the company will clear the balance. If It is more than 5 days then The employee will take leave to reduce the balance to 5 days.
  • Additional one annual leave day for every five years of service
  • 10 days public holidays per annum or as per the government regulations

 3 LEAVES

  • Sick Leave: 5 days paid per annum (no roll-over). Staff need to produce doctor certificate if sick leave is taken more than one day consecutively.
