Job Description

Tribe Purpose

- The Data & Analytics Tribe will support the business by identifying trends and helping business to anticipate future customer behaviors to better understand the implications of business decisions

- The Data & Analytics Tribe will leverage leading edge technology and capabilities, applying machine learning and statistical modelling to help stakeholders understand the changing business environment, discover new growth opportunities and determine where business improvements can be made

- The Data & Analytics Tribe will be equipped with capabilities in Big data, advanced analytics and Machine Learning

Job Purpose

- The job holder is a leadership role accountable for setting up the enterprise suite and analytical tools capability to generate customer insights for business decisions in customer segments, journeys, processes and systems using diverse sources of data, techniques and tools.

- The job holder will work closely with other tribe leads and the senior leadership team in understanding needs and requirements for the development of data platforms while helping business to better understand the implications of what information means to answer current and future needs of strategic selected set of customers

Key Relationships

- Reports to Head of Transformation Office / Deputy Head of Transformation Office.

- Direct reports include Data Scientists, Senior Data Scientists, Data Governance Leads, Data Privacy & Security Leads, Business Intelligence Leads, Data Engineering Leads, Data Architecture Leads.

- Internal stakeholders include leaders of the Transformation Office, Operation Division and other relevant departments in Techcombank.

- External stakeholders include partners providing professional services

A. Data Solutioning

- Provide direction and technical guidance to Data & Analytics Tribe members to successfully deliver quality products and meet objectives

- Participate in daily tribe activities of different squads to provide guidance and solve challenges they face

B. Strategic Planning

- Develop the Data roadmap to deliver on the bank's digital strategy vision, setting visions and directions for the bank, including the development and implementation of the bank’s enterprise suite and analytical platforms to generate insights for client services and product enhancements

- Implement a common data structure for management of all types of data to promote consistent information throughout the bank

- Manage resources (tools, tribe capability, financials) to ensure products are delivered and implemented within budget (Profit and Loss)

- Work closely with senior management teams and other tribe leads to craft the customer journey roadmap and design required products.

C. Managing Projects

- Oversee coordination and delivery of products across squads and ensure timely delivery of products in accordance to timeline set

- Oversee the development of software programs, algorithms and automated processes that cleanse, integrate and evaluate large data sets from multiple disparate sources.

- Design and set product development priorities with evaluation and inputs from Business and Technology Tribes, ensuring products are delivered at the speed of markets

D. Managing Stakeholders

- Manage strategic relationships with other tribes and squads, ensuring that overall business objectives are being achieved through the translation of strategic plans into operational plans and guiding the execution of said plans.

E. Managing Talent

- Attract, motivate and retain employees across all levels for a high performance culture

- Develop and coach more junior employees to identify gaps in their competencies and build development plans and push tribe members to keep updated on new technologies and digital experiences so they can develop innovative solutions for the digital bank

Your Skills and Experience

Domain Expertise

- At least 12 years of experience in areas of data analysis, machine learning, deep learning model development on large amount of data, implementing and deploying various statistical models

- Deep experience in programming languages (e.g. C, C++, R, Python, Scala, SQL, Java, Tableau, R)

- Deep experience in designing and building dimensional data models, data warehouse concepts and methodologies, optimizing data pipelines and architecture

- Deep experience in implementing machine learning and data mining algorithms and techniques to address business needs

- Mastery of Information Security principles to ensure compliant handling and management of data

Agile / Digital Experience

- Proven track-record in leading company-wide digital transformation initiatives and change management

- Mastery in Data & Analytics and is an industry expert on the latest data-related technology trends

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in finance, risk management, statistics, mathematics or quantitative analysis

Personal Attributes
