Job Description

Division Purpose

- The Transformation Office is responsible for the execution of the Bank’s transformation vision, strategy and roadmap of deliverables with a focus on digitalization of customer journeys.

- The Transformation Office executes the portfolio of projects / initiatives pre-dominantly through an Agile methodology (some foundational projects will still follow the Waterfall method)

- The Transformation Office houses a variety of expertise to support the execution of the portfolio of projects/ initiatives such as technology, data analysis, risk modelling, design thinking, change management and digital partnerships amongst others.

- The Transformation Office tracks and measures the progress of the execution using modern portfolio management techniques (example, OKRs and TTIs) to ensure value is created.

Tribe Purpose

- The Data & Analytics Tribe will support the business by identifying trends and helping business to anticipate future customer behaviors to better understand the implications of what business decisions

- The Data & Analytics Tribe will leverage leading edge technology and capabilities, applying machine learning and statistical modelling to help stakeholders understand the changing business environment, discover new growth opportunities and determine where business improvements can be made

- The Data & Analytics Tribe will be equipped with capabilities in Big data, advanced analytics and Machine Learning

Job Purpose

- The job holder analyzes, designs and implements data solutions using TCB’s enterprise suite of BI tools.

- The job holder uses analysis, business understanding methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyse, visualize data to generate insights to inform and trigger business problems in the business decision process - improve of customer value and operation efficiency

- The job holder helps the business to better understand the implications of what information means, identifies what has happened, why it happened, especially for performance management.

Key Relationships

- Reports directly to Business Intelligent Lead.

- Direct reports: none

- Internal stakeholders include Business Tribe, Enabling Tribe (IT or data - engineer/governance), division head, BAU divisions manager - Business, Finance, Risk, CA, IT

- External stakeholders include partners and vendors

A. Analysis & Reporting

- Identify, analyze and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets using script languages

- Perform analysis of datasets to develop metrics, reports and visualizations mostly for performance management.

- Use data visualization programs, tools and techniques to generate dashboards, reports and presentations that aid in data storytelling, understanding and interpretation of trends and patterns of business importance to provide meanings to data produce.

- Create and maintain statistical models for ongoing and ad hoc review and analysis of data.

- Understand data requirements from within and outside of the tribe and analyze needs of the business while assisting senior tribe members to develop the required technical requirements

- Communicate and align with stakeholders on purpose and impact of analytical solutions on business

B. Data Insighting

- Lead the identification and interpretation of meaningful and actionable insights from various data sources

- Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy

- Interact with squads within assigned tribe to identify questions and issues for data analysis

- Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques

C. Managing team, portfolio of use cases and contribute to the maintenance of Data & Analytics Tribe’s know how

- Manage a team of data analysts to deliver data solutions for a tribe or for an enabling squad

- Contribute to the development and maintenance of Data & Analytics Tribe’s know-how

Your Skills and Experience

Domain Expertise

- 3+ years of experience in areas of data analysis,reporting & planning, problem solving for business

- Experience in querying databases and using programming languages (e.g. R, Python, Scala, SQL)

- Experience in building reporting with actionable intelligent

- Experience communicating complex analysis and models across a diverse team

- Experience in data management, ETL and analysis functions

- Experience with data analysis and BI tools such as Tableau, QlikView, Spark would be a plus

- Deep understanding of Information Security principles to ensure compliant handling and management of data

Agile / Digital Experience

- Experience in Agile Software Development and has a strong understanding of Agile methodology and practices

- Experience working in Agile teams in digital transformation projects


- Bachelor's degree in finance, risk management, statistics, mathematics or quantitative analysis

- Focused on high-quality delivery

- Open to learning new ideas outside scope or knowledge skillset
