CBA - International Financial Services (IFS) is the business unit responsible for driving the Group’s emerging markets growth strategy, across Asia and Africa. Our strategy is centred on financial inclusion supported by a digital banking model and a focus on financial literacy. We believe that financial inclusion truly puts the customer at the front of everything we strive to achieve.

This exciting new role will play a key part in the establishment and build of a new business.  This business will act as a centralised hub providing digital solutions and application development across the IFS business.

Building Agile Capability is a core enabler for driving business outcomes and includes breaking down the traditional boundaries between Business and IT.   As the Agile Practice Leader, you will be responsible for developing, embedding and enhance Agile practices into delivery.

More specifically your main duties will include:

  • Increasing the Agile maturity of the teams already practising Agile
  • Expanding the use of Agile practices within IFS
  • Driving organisational change and champion Agile thinking with management at all levels across the Group, including benefits realisation of working Agile
  • Leverage learning’s and processes established within existing teams, accelerating adoption and discovery for newly formed teams and adopting a continuous improvement mindset
  • Active promotion and participation within Agile communities
  • Create and foster a culture of continuous improvement
  • Lead and inspire a Scrum Masters, Agile Coaches and Technical Leads and provide development planning support, coaching and leadership, towards an inclusive and high performance team.
  • Coaching - hands on, actively present and visible, providing guidance and direction to project teams
  • Embedded within teams, actively educating, demonstrating &  facilitating practices & principles
  • Temporarily fulfil roles within team in order to demonstrate role responsibilities and behaviour
  • Individual/group coaching with an initial focus on Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Business Analysts or other areas where effort optimises the outcomes.
  • Provide support for wider team, supporting challenges into opportunities for improvement
  • Problem solving for specific scenarios

Your skills and experience

We are seeking a motivated individual with:

  • Have formalised experience with Agile including deep understanding of Kanban/Lean principles
  • Experience and understanding of the enterprise project delivery environment
  • Experience in engagement with senior stakeholders
  • Have a proven track record of delivery in large, complex programs to aggressive timelines
  • Experience in delivering large changes into teams
  • Proven team capability uplift and motivation
  • A proven track record of delivery in non-agile environments to understand the advantages and challenges of transition
  • Within the Scrum framework, appreciation on how best to leverage Scrum techniques, in conjunction with other methodologies
  • Experience with interfacing Agile teams with external vendors/Waterfall projects, enabling dependency management
  • Experience in scaled agile
