Job description
- Manage the buildout of Agile teams.
- Oversee methodologies, proactively anticipate impediments to change, and guide teams through these changes with ongoing Agile adoption.
- Work with Scrum Masters and Scrum teams to analyze current systems and processes, and to design a strategy for adopting Agile best practices.
- Provide the framework and governance for developing and managing enterprise applications across organization.
- Coach teams from the top down to help them stay on track with Agile techniques, fine-tuning as needed, to ensure the adoption of Agile best practices.
- Engage and objectively guide teams towards the delivery of expected results using Agile methodologies, and determine steps needed to adjust the direction of these teams, as appropriate.
- Stay apprised of Agile best practices via conferences, seminars, training, webinars, and networking, and disseminate standard practices and new methods to teams.
- Work closely with product owners and various teams on how to use Agile processes.
- Establish and implement metrics to build self-organizing teams and optimize team delivery, and measure business agility in terms of predictability, reliability, and adaptability.
- Monitor and evaluate performance of Scrum teams collectively, looking for areas of improvement and increased efficiencies.
- Deliver Agile training for all employees according to their various expertise and roles, based on Aperia’s Agile transformation strategy.
- Develop and maintain Agile standards and requirements.
- Help teams navigate and use work management tools and software from an Agile perspective.
- Provide hands-on support to Scrum masters to ensure Agile principles are followed.
Your skills and experience
Must-to-have
- Certifications in some or all of the following: SSM, SASM, SPO, CSPO, SPC, ICE-AC, Lean SAFe Agilist.
- At least 10 years working in the IT industry with three or more years of solid experience as an Agile practitioner in a leadership or coaching role.
- Experience in Scrum and Kanban.
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to communicate strategy and provide clear, concise direction.
- A champion of change for improving the ways of working by continually evaluating the company culture and client needs on how best to deliver.
- Business-level English proficiency.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proficient in facilitating and leading meetings, seminars, or teaching events.
- Experience implementing an Agile transformation in international cultures and environments.
- Flexible work hours.
- History and examples of having successfully managed Agile projects of varying sizes and complexity.
- Experience with work management tools (Azure DevOps, Jira, and Rally a plus).
