Job Description

  • Translate business needs (user stories) into technical requirements (functional applications)
  • Interact remotely or face to face with members who stay in Germany
  • Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code which will be deployed in Cloud based applications
  • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications
  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
  • Maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
  • Write and maintain high quality automation tests.
  • Perform code review
  • Practice Agile Scrum and DevOps with supported CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps...
  • Adhere to the acceptance criteria and the Definition of Done

Your Skills and Experience

  • 1+ years of experience working in Java/J2EE technologies.
  • Ability to clearly communicate with both technical and non-technical team members in English
  • English proficiency equivalent to B1 certificate or TOEIC 600+
  • Pro-active and self-organizing

Other nice to have:

  • Proficient in Java/J2EE , Spring boot and Spring Cloud framework, with a good knowledge of its ecosystems
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and principles of development (e.g. SOLID, DRY, KISS...)
  • Familiar with various design and architectural patterns (e.g. creational, structural, behavioral, container vs presentational components...)
  • Skill for writing reusable Java libraries
  • Knowledge of concurrency patterns in Java
  • Familiarity with concepts of MVC, SOAP and/or RESTful
  • Proficiency with SQL or MongoDB
  • Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests such as Mockito, Junit
  • Have knowledge in Microservice architecture
